Kimmie The First

"A preconceived notion, a movement of thought,
brings us to assume what in fact, is not.
First glance, first touch, impressions are made,
carried over time 'til the truth is mislaid.

We’re not always at fault, to think it all true,
misconceptions are misconceptions to correct me and you.
Like Pop Rocks, candy so deceivingly sweet, Add magic, it becomes a feisty, sparkly treat!

Oh, these little notions, what great things they hide!
The wonderful, quirky, tall person inside!
So it begins, an introduction to me,
I stand 5'2, but feel 6'3.

MY BOYFRIEND ED. Cults + The Naked and Famous played really good sets, but FRIENDLY FIRES was outstanding!!! Best show I have ever been to in my entire life, hands down! They played every song from Pala, and threw in some oldies but goodies such as Skeleton Boy, Lovesick, and Paris. They also gave us an amazing encore: Hawaiian Air and Kiss of Life.
When a band can pull you in and give you a high that just keeps on escalating song after song, it’s really something else. Ed is one of the most animated and engaging frontmen I have ever seen, and the rest of the band didn’t skimp on the showmanship either. I was elated during their entire 45-minute set. They put on a show that made all the standing, sweating, and hipster tolerance seem like nothing. Well worth it, son.Oh, I forgot to mention: the concert was free of charge. Thank you, New York City!
